Nomination deadlines for graduate student awards
Today is the last day for department heads/chairs to submit nominations to the respective college deans' offices for the Graduate Student Council and Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Awards for Graduate Student Teaching Excellence. Each department may nominate one master's degree student and one doctoral student.
To be considered for the Graduate Student Council and Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools teaching awards, a graduate student must be on a graduate teaching assistant, or GTA, appointment and must be enrolled as a graduate student in the fall and spring semesters of the award year. Also, today is the last day for department heads/chairs or program directors for interdisciplinary programs to submit nominations to the Graduate School for the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools/ProQuest Distinguished Thesis Award. Each eligible department may nominate one master's degree student.
To be considered for the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools/ProQuest Distinguished Thesis Award, the completion of a master's degree must fall in the period of August 2013 to May 2015, inclusive. More information about the thesis award, please visit the Graduate School.
