New faculty luncheon Oct. 7 to feature President Schulz
The Teaching & Learning Center invites all new faculty to the New Faculty Institute luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the Flint Hills Room of the K-State Student Union. Please RSVP by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2.
Our theme, 2025: Goal Setting for a Great Future, will be highlighted by our speakers, Kirk Schulz, university president, and Mary Rezac, interim associate vice president for research and the Tim Taylor professor of chemical engineering. This luncheon provides new faculty the opportunity to learn more about the 2025 initiative and what it takes for them to have a great future here at K-State.
The New Faculty Institute is a universitywide program to introduce newly hired faculty to our missions of teaching, research and service, and to facilitate their success at K-State. The New Faculty Institute offers information and networking. The institute facilitates the transition of newly-hired faculty members into the K-State academic environment by providing information and tools that can help them become successful as educators and researchers at the university. Each month the institute offers social luncheons filled with information, socializing and food.
For more information, contact Karen Large, New Faculty Institute coordinator, at kmlarge@k-state.edu, or Jana Fallin, Teaching & Learning Center director, at teachingandlearning@k-state.edu.
We look forward to seeing you!
