Deadline approaching for presentation proposals for the 2016 Engagement Scholarship Consortium
The 17th annual Engagement Scholarship Consortium Conference will be Oct. 11-12 in Omaha, Nebraska. The conference theme is "Visioning the Future of Engaged Scholarship."
The Engagement Scholarship Consortium is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit educational organization working to build strong community partnerships grounded in scholarship. Such scholarly work includes sharing information regarding campus-community partnerships, conducting a variety of meetings and workshops, encouraging university engagement, and publishing research on engaged scholarship. K-State became an organizational member in 2012.
Proposals for presentations at the 2016 annual conference will be accepted until March 15. The conference is seeking presentations that "will inform or advance the research and practice of engaged scholarship and university-community partnerships through means of research findings, innovative program design and partnership models, proven community/institutional impacts, effective curriculum or service-learning models, collaborative policy development and integration, or successful civic engagement practices."
