Reminder: Pink and Purple Polyester Party to support K-State cancer research April 22
Disco for a cure at the fifth annual Pink and Purple Polyester Party at 7 p.m. Friday, April 22, at the K-State Alumni Center. Boogie down with Disco Dick and the Mirrorballs, of Kansas City, and party host and local entertainer Dave Lewis. Vote for your favorite Off the Hook bra decorated by a local business, and enjoy catered hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, fun photo station and more. The guest with the best '60s, '70s or '80s threads wins $100!
Registration is $60 per person or $500 for a reserved table for 10 and sponsor recognition. All proceeds support K-State's Johnson Cancer Research Center.
For added fun, join the Off the Hook Bra Crawl from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in downtown Manhattan. View in advance all of the bras entered by local businesses in the Off the Hook bra art contest and help your favorite one win, all while enjoying specials at six downtown restaurants. Votes, in the form of donations, will be added to what is raised at the Pink and Purple Polyester Party, and the bra raising the most donations will win. Tickets for the Bra Crawl are $10 in advance, $15 on event day.
View the bra crafted by the Office of the Vice President for Research in 102 Fairchild until 5 p.m. Friday, April 15. Help them win, raise funds, and guess their mystery bra model. More information is in this tweet
