Saxophone professor Anna Marie Wytko releases internationally acclaimed CD recording
Anna Marie Wytko, associate professor of saxophone in Kansas State University's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, released a new internationally acclaimed solo and chamber music CD titled "Anna Marie Wytko, Saxophonist."
Recorded and mastered by award-winning engineers, the album features five world premiere recordings, including works by Paris composers Anthony Girard, "Éloge de la Folie," and Philippe Gantchoula, "Krypton"; Los Angeles composer Sean Heim, "When Wind Comes to Sparse Bamboo"; and two works, "Intensity 8.5" and "Paradox Found," by American composer Craig Weston, associate professor of composition at K-State.
Additionally, the album features Czechoslovakian composer Jindřich Feld's famous "Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano." Wytko can be heard on both alto and baritone saxophones. Two of the new works feature her internationally regarded trio, Ascendo3.

As guest recording artist, Wytko recorded Paul Hindemith's "Konzertstück" with saxophonist Eugene Rousseau on the Jeanné Digital Recordings label. See Wytko's online discography for additional information.
The production of "Anna Marie Wytko, Saxophonist" was made possible in part by grants from Kansas State University.
