Delta Sigma Theta Sorority receives top awards at regional conference
Kansas State University's Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Eta Gamma chapter, received three awards at the 47th Central Regional Conference June 29-July 3 in Wichita.
The chapter won the Regional Representative Initiative of the Year award for its Going the DSTance event that focused on physical and mental health. Justice Davis, a May 2016 Kansas State Univeristy graduate, received the Collegiate Soror of the Year award, and Jessica Elmore, associate director of diversity programs, received the advisor of the year award.
"Eta Gamma is very thankful for the awards we were able to bring back to Kansas State University. As a small chapter, we work really hard to make sure we give back to our community," said Semaj Young, president K-State's Eta Gamma chapter.
