Futures by design: Expo helps students make career connections

Future employment plans are the latest projects being created by Kansas State University design students.
A wide range of firms, agencies and organizations will be on campus 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 2, to discuss full-time positions and internships with students at the university's Design Expo. The expo will take place at the K-State Alumni Center Ballroom.
Firms and agencies represented include: 360 Architecture, Kansas City, Mo.; Populous Group, Kansas City, Mo.; 505 Design, Boulder, Colo.; Canon Design, St. Louis, Mo.; Corgan Associates Inc., Dallas, Texas; Perkins Eastman, New York, N.Y.; SWA Group Inc., Houston, Texas; and many more.
Students are encouraged to dress in business professional attire, bring several copies of their resume, portfolio materials or teasers, and their student ID. A student preparation guide is available at http://www.livebinders.com/play/present?id=267416.
The annual expo is sponsored by K-State's career and employment services and the College of Architecture, Planning and Design.
