Sociology professor Nadia Shapkina presents at two national professional meetings in Seattle
Nadia Shapkina, assistant professor of sociology, presented two papers at national professional meetings in Seattle.
Shapkina presented "Sociology of Human Trafficking: Teaching about the Risks of Globalization" at the Society for the Study of Social Problems annual meeting and "Anti-Trafficking Organizing in Russia and Ukraine: A Global Institutional Ethnographic Analysis" at the American Sociological Association annual conference.
Shapkina also led a refereed roundtable on gender, sexuality and identity organized by the American Sociological Association's section on sociology of sex and gender.
