American Chemical Society student affiliate to host undergraduate research forum
The K-State chapter of Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society invites students in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, physics, food science, or other related departments to participate in the inaugural K-State American Chemical Society Undergraduate Research Forum from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the Chemistry/Biochemistry Building.
The forum will include a poster session from 1-3 p.m. and a keynote speaker and an awards ceremony from 3-4 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
Each participant will receive a free cloth poster with their own submitted research to use for future presentations. Registration is open to 50 students because of funding and space limitations. Students must register and submit poster designs by Wednesday, Sept. 14, to ensure their poster is printed in time.
Students who are interested or would like more information should contact the chapter at ksuacs@gmail.com or Lacey Beck, president, at laceybeck2013@k-state.edu.
This event is sponsored by the American Chemical Society's national and local sections and the chemistry department.
