Public Health Club 5K Run/Walk April 28
The Kansas State University Public Health Club will host its first 5K Run/Walk, Saturday, April 28. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m. Registration opens at at 8 a.m.
By hosting the event, the club hopes to raise money to travel and participate in public health related learning events and to educate the Manhattan community about what public health really means.
The race will take place on a route mapped out through K-State's scenic campus. Participants will be given a race packet at registration which includes their race number, T-shirt and brochures and other trinkets about public health. Awards will be presented to runners who come in first, second, third and even last.
We welcome familes, serious runners, children and everyone in between. If your child is under 5, there will be no registration fee charged. Also, feel free to bring your four-legged friends along for the run, but please remember poop bags as well!
If you have any problems or question, please email skcolem@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing both runners and walkers, families and kids, and dogs at this event.
