Workshop on promotion to full professor Friday
The office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering will sponsor a workshop on Friday presented by a nationally recognized expert on faculty development .
Kerry Ann Rockquemore, president of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity, will present a workshop titled “Writing Your Next Chapter: How to Find Your Mojo and Move Forward at Mid-Career.” The workshop will be in the Big 12 Room from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The workshop is intended for women faculty who are post tenure, though pre-tenure faculty are welcome as well. Rockquemore will outline the common issues mid-career faculty face and provide participants with strategies for identifying where they may be stuck and how to move forward.
Rockquemore has conducted workshops for faculty across the country and writes a regular advice column for "Inside Higher Education." Seats are limited, and registration closes today.
