K-State Student Foundation hosting two Why I Give Week events today
Why I Give Week is in full swing Nov. 10 with two unique events.
• Join the K-State Student Foundation between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 10 in Bosco Student Plaza to help assemble care packages for military service members, in conjunction with the K-State Office of Military and Veterans Affairs.
• A discussion of the what, how and why of philanthropy will be at 5:15 p.m Nov. 10 in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building. The Q-and-A session will feature a panel of four K-State donors: Interim president Gen. Richard Myers; Barry Flinchbaugh; professor emeritus; Mary Ice and Shirley Jacobson.
The KSU Foundation works with individuals, corporations and foundations to unite philanthropic desires with university priorities. The student-led Student Foundation extends that mission by engaging campus in philanthropic fundraising and awareness activities.
