Attend the fall 2011 Assessment Showcase Nov. 2
The office of assessment invites you to attend the fall 2011 Assessment Showcase, Nov. 2, featuring the best practices in assessment of student learning at Kansas State University . The showcase will be on the second floor of the K-State Student Union from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be two 50-minute breakout sessions beginning at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., followed by keynote speaker, Loraine H. Phillips, director of the office of institutional assessment at Texas A&M University and an assessment workshop focused on developing course embedded assessment. The event will conclude with Provost and Senior Vice President April Mason presenting assessment awards at 2:30 p.m.
We encourage all faculty and staff that are involved, or interested in becoming involved, in student learning assessment to be inspired by the outstanding assessment practices shared at the showcase. New faculty are especially encouraged to participate to become familiar with the assessment process at K-State. You may attend the morning session without attending the keynote luncheon and afternoon workshop.
There is no fee for attending but there is a 125 person limit on the afternoon segments. Please contact the office of assessment at assessment@k-state.edu or 532-5712 to reserve your place for the luncheon and workshop.
Please visit the office of assessment's website to view the showcase flyer with current session topics and times and contact the office of assessment with any questions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
