Free Career Center Cookout
Kansas State University's Career Center invites new and returning students to start their fall semester with the Career Center Cookout.
The Career Center Cookout has been part of the Week of Welcome for more than 10 years. This year, the cookout will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, on the Berney Family Welcome Center North Lawn.
Stop by to see Willie and enjoy lunch on us. Students who activate and update their online Handshake account will receive a free T-shirt, while supplies last. Students and alumni can log in to Handshake to apply for part-time, internship and full-time positions. In addition, Handshake is a resource to find employer contacts and view who is recruiting on campus.
The Career Center will host the Part-Time Opportunities Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Come visit with area employers about part-time jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities.
