College of Arts and Sciences Research and Travel Opportunities Fair
On Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Ballroom, the College of Arts and Sciences is hosting a fair for students to learn about the many opportunities for research participation, creative activities, and education abroad offered by our various academic departments and centers. From modern languages to biology to geology to philosophy to and everything in between, faculty, staff, advisors and current students will be on hand to discuss opportunities one-on-one.
In addition to our 22 academic departments, there will be representatives from the Kansas Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, or KS-LSAMP; K-State Education Abroad; the Chapman Center for Rural Studies; and the Johnson Cancer Research Center ready to answer your questions about how to get involved.
The college is providing light refreshments for students, as well as a $1,000 scholarship drawing sponsored by Leena and Amit Chakrabarti. Students must complete an entry form at the event to be entered into the drawing.
