Movement Challenge week three results
Submitted by Human Capital Services
Activity from week three of the movement challenge has been reported and our overall daily activity has increased! The week two average was 9,284 steps per day and the week three average is 9,440. Great job to those of you who participated in week three. Let's keep up the momentum and increase for next week as well.
Each week will include an additional weekly challenge. Week four's — Sept. 11-16 — weekly challenge is to get exercise while at work. For those who have a desk job, this can be a difficult task. Hopefully, you have found ways to get some additional activity and exercise throughout the day. Week four is almost complete which means participants are more than halfway through the Movement Challenge. The week four PDF newsletter has great information about how to boost your confidence while starting or trying to maintain an exercise regimen.
Don't forget to document your activity on social media and use #purpleisprogress to be entered to win a wearable activity tracker or another fun prize from our sponsors. The Movement Challenge team has awarded prizes for week three. The winners are listed on the Movement Challenge website.
The Movement Challenge offers two ways for departments to compete. At the end of the challenge, we will name one department the winner of highest activity and one department the winner of highest participation. And for those of you that are independently competitive, there also is an individual leaderboard.
The week three results are in. These calculations are based on data entered for week three of the Movement Challenge — Sept. 3-9. The final standings will be for data entered for the entire competition — Aug. 20-Sept. 30.
