Engineering Extension radon program to play key role in national conference

Submitted by Mary Rankin

Kansas State University Engineering Extension radon program staff will play a large role in the International Radon Symposium/National Radon Training Conference Oct. 1-4 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bruce Snead, director of Engineering Extension, will lead the daylong workshop, "Radon Mitigation Quality Assurance Plan;" give presentations on radon fan selection and how training centers can assist state programs; and participate in mock hearings on radon legislation.

Brian Hanson, radon program coordinator, will present "Training Staff as Technical Assistance Resources;" and Kristina Snyder, radon program assistant, will staff the program's radon exhibit focused on online training and national radon program services.
