October is open enrollment for health insurance

Submitted by Human Capital Services

Oct. 1-31 is open enrollment for health, dental and vision insurances; and for flexible spending account; health savings account, or HSA; health reimbursement account, or HRA; and HealthyKids.

This open enrollment period has several changes including the addition of three new plan options. It also is an active enrollment. Employees must enroll in the State Employee Health Plan even if you desire the same coverage you currently have in 2017. Failure to enroll will place you in Plan N. Learn more about the 2018 health plan options and see instructions on how to enroll at the Human Capital Services open enrollment webpage.

The State Employee Health Plan will host two information sessions at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the K-State Student Union's Forum Hall. The 2 p.m. session will be streamed live online through the Human Capital Services SEHP Livestream website.

The State Employee Health Plan also will host webinars at various times during October. Please see the State Employee Health Plan website for more information.

Your HCS benefits team will continue to update you and provide information during the month of October. Watch your K-State email and K-State Today for more information.
