Celebrate Open Access Week with K-State Libraries
Submitted by Sarah McGreer Hoyt
The K-State Libraries are celebrating International Open Access Week Oct. 22-28.
Join the Libraries' Center for the Advancement of Digital Scholarship, or CADS, on Friday, Oct. 27, for a special Open Access Open House. Drop by 118 Hale between 2 and 4 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. we'll honor the university's Open Access All Stars, the students and faculty who have demonstrated their commitment to open access initiatives.
We hope the celebration allows the academic and research community to witness the benefits of Open Access and share successes with colleagues.
If you can't attend the event on Oct. 27, learn more about advancing open access in your research and classroom by visiting the center's website or 118 Hale Library to chat with the CADS faculty.
Open Access Week, a global event entering its 10th year, was established by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, or SPARC, a global coalition committed to making Open the default for research and education.
