Artist Talks at Beach Museum of Art today
Join the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art for two Artist Talks on Thursday, April 5.
Gasali Adeyemo, a Nigerian Adire cloth artist, will lecture at 10 a.m. in the museum's UMB Theater. Adeyemo creates fabric using batik designs and the traditional Adire technique, a resist-dyed cloth produced and worn by the Yoruba people of Southwestern Nigeria in West Africa. This event is in partnership with the K-State College of Education.
Artist Lynn Benson will share details about making the 2018 Beach Museum of Art Gift Print and other recent projects at 5:30 p.m. in the museum's UMB Theater. Light refreshments will be served. Read more about Benson's exhibit, "Water Stories by Lynn Benson."
