Learn Flint Hills wildflowers — on Facebook

Submitted by Jill Haukos

Cobaea penstemon

Are you looking for an antidote for the cold, gloomy winter weather? Have you always wondered what the name is for a blooming wildflower? Look no further than Facebook! Take a look at the daily postings in the Konza Prairie Nature Trail and the Konza Environmental Education Program pages.

Each day a new wildflower species will be featured on each page — you are welcome to take a stab at identifying, or you can simply learn the new species and enjoy the photo. Feel free to ask questions or share your experiences with the flower or the nature trail.

Come join the Konza Prairie on Facebook and let the beauty of nature push aside those winter blues.
