Confucius Institute to sponsor a two-week China trip in summer 2018
K-State's Confucius Institute is organizing a sponsored two-week trip to China for K-State students. This is an opportunity to increase students' vision and the ability to be a world citizen. The trip will be hosted by K-State's Confucius Institute and its Chinese partner, Jilin University.
Students will visit three cities — Beijing, Changchun, Shanghai — and surrounding areas during the trip. When students are in Changchun, the city in Northeast China and home of the host university Jilin University, they will participate in social activities with Jilin University's faculty and students.
The trip integrates lectures, culture experience, industry enterprise visits, sight-seeing and communicating with counterparts worldwide — including American university students from Rutgers, State University of New Jersey — Students just need to pay airfare for the international trip, which is around $1,400.
Confucius Institute funding covers other expenses after landing in China — except personal expenses. Both undergraduate and graduate students are all welcome to register.
More information about the itinerary and registration is available online. Contact Shijun Yan at shijunyan@k-state.edu if you have any questions.
