Donors needed for K-State blood drive
K-State and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive on campus. The drive will take place during the following times: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 24-26, in the K-State Student Union; 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 27, in the Union; 1-7 p.m. Sept. 25-27 in the Putnam Hall lobby.
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Each blood donation can save up to three lives. Show you bleed Powercat purple and help save a life by donating blood at the upcoming blood drive and receive a free T-shirt, while supplies last. All donors will receive a free haircut from Sport Clips.
Learn more about the American Red Cross online and schedule an appointment to donate on campus. Remember to eat iron rich foods — steak, spinach, dark chocolate, Oreos — before your appointment and drink plenty of good fluids, like water or juice, before donating.
