Attendance Guidelines for Supervisors of University Support Staff session offered Oct. 23
Submitted by Human Capital Services-Learning and Development
Attendance Guidelines for University Support Staff, WTD187, will be offered from 10:15-11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in 4061 College of Business Administration Building.
An employee's work attendance has a direct effect on a unit's ability to provide intended services in support of the mission of the university. Misuse of privileges, excessive leave use, unexcused absences or a pattern of failure to report for or remain at work may be grounds for positive disciplinary action. Supervisors will learn how to address attendance challenges before it becomes a problem.
Participants will gain the following through this session:
- Understanding and applying university guidelines regarding university support staff attendance.
- Conducting effective conversations with employees about leave issues.
- Learning how to interpret leave statistics reports when addressing attendance issues.
This course is offered in conjunction with the Introduction to Supervision, WTD077, series. Seating is limited.
To register for this session, you can either sign up through HRIS self-service or send an email to Megan Hoelting at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID and the course title.
