Laboratory Safety Renovation Program call for proposals
Safe and functional research and teaching laboratories are critical to advancing Kansas State University. The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance and the Office of the Vice President for Research have created a Laboratory Safety Renovation Program to help address safety and compliance issues in laboratories. The program will award $500,000 from deferred maintenance support funds.
Proposals require a one-to-one department match and will be accepted from Oct. 10 through Nov. 16. The Laboratory Renovation Working Group will review and prioritize proposals based on guiding principles aligned with the K-State 2025 strategic plan. Please note that requests for new equipment will not be considered, and applications must be submitted by college or major unit leaders. An estimate of costs for labor and materials must be included from Facilities; please allow two weeks for estimates.
Funded proposals will be announced to campus in December.
Find an application form and more information about the program, including where to get cost estimates, guiding principles and more, on the Laboratory Safety Renovation Program website.
