Engagement opportunity in Wyandotte County

Submitted by Laura L. Loyacono

Kansas State University will partner with Kansas City Kansas Community College, or KCKCC, in providing summer learning to students, ages 8-18, in the Kansas City, Kansas, school district.

Called "Kids on Campus," the goal of the KCKCC program is to expose, enrich and empower youth. K-State Olathe is coordinating programming, and are seeking faculty from across K-State, who are interested in providing an activity or lesson for students. The engagement might be a single lesson on one day, or if there is interest, they would be open to a more sustained engagement over multiple days. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. five days per week from June 10-July 12.

Please contact Laura Loyacono, director of education and community engagement, at loyacono@k-state.edu for more information.
