K-State Theatre presents a Broadway revue today at the Beach

A musical revue, "Great Song/Bad Show," will start at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Beach Museum of Art. The revue features songs from Broadway shows that had short, unsuccessful runs — some closing after only one performance — yet there is often beautiful music in these flops.

The concert is accompanied, coached and curated by graduate student Heather McCornack and features theatre students from the Advanced Acting will perform "Musical Theatre Styles course and Broadway performer professor Jerry Jay Cranford.

The performers, songs and the unsuccessful shows featured in the review:

• Michael Duncan, junior in theatre, will perform "Larger Than Life" from "My Favorite Year."
• Olivia Carter, junior in theatre, will perform "Good Thing Going" from "Merrily We Roll Along."
• Liz Kritikos, senior in theatre, will perform "Times Are Hard for Dreamers" from "Amelia."
• JD Warren, senior in theatre, will perform "Mrs. Remington" from "Story of My Life."
• Ian Boyd-Duncan, junior in theatre, and Lauren Taylor, junior in applied music, will perform "At the Top of the World" from "Tuck Everlasting."
• Emma Price, sophomore in theatre, will perform "How ‘bout a Dance" from "Bonnie and Clyde."
• Meghan McGehee, senior in theatre, will perform "Heaven Help My Heart" from "Chess."
• Jonathan Claybaugh, senior in theatre, will perform "With So Little To Be Sure Of" from "Anyone Can Whistle."
• Breana Tiffany, sophomore in theatre, will perform "If You Knew My Story" from "Bright Star."
• Lucero Padilla, senior in applied music, will perform "Old Red Hills of Home" from "Parade."
• Taylor and Padilla will perform "I Will Never Leave You" from "Sideshow."
• Willie Michaels, senior in applied music, will perform "Fight the Dragons" from "Big Fish."
• Rachel Hunt, graduate student in music, will perform "When There’s No One" from "Carrie."
• Professor Jerry Jay Cranford will perform "There’s Always One You Can’t Forget" from "Dance a Little Closer."
