Marching Band Scholarship Golf Tournament June 15
On Saturday, June 15, the Kansas State University Marching Band will host the ninth annual Marching Pride Scholars Golf Tournament. All proceeds from this event will go toward scholarships for upperclassmen in the K-State Marching Band and Classy Cats.
This four-person golf scramble will be played at Colbert Hills. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Lunch is provided with golfer registration as well as course contests — such as a putting contest, closest to the pin, longest drive, etc. — and a silent auction. Some of the prizes for this year include gift cards from many local restaurants and from Colbert Hills, as well as raffle prizes including a $500 Golf USA gift certificate and a Scotty Cameron putter. Plus, Willie will be there to start the tournament with the opening tee. No matter how much practice you have it will be a good time for a great cause.
More information is on the band website or by calling the band office at 785-532-3816 if you have any questions.
