Truman campus application reopened
The campus nominating committee for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship is currently seeking two additional candidates to compete nationally. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Oct. 14.
The Truman Scholarship awards up to $30,000 to support graduate study for students aspiring to a career in public service. Since 1980, Kansas State University students have competed successfully more than 30 times.
Students eligible to apply in this year's application cycle must plan on graduating between December 2020 and May 2021. Competitive applicants will have a strong record of leadership experience and career plans focused on public policy issues and public service experiences, such as political internships, working as a campaign volunteer or work experience with a government agency. Students must also rank in the top quarter of their class.
