George Washington Carver Symposium and Awards Dinner
The George Washington Carver Symposium and Awards Dinner will take place Sunday, Sept. 29, at the K-State Alumni Center.
Critical Water Issues of the Great Plains will be the focus of the symposium with presentations from 3-5:30 p.m.
Dinner keynote Armogen 'Tre' Walker II, former Wildcat linebacker and College of Agriculture alumnus, will present "The 21st Century Impact of George Washington Carver." The dinner and awards program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the K-State College of Agriculture Diversity Program Office, the Kansas Center for Agricultural Resources and the Environment, and the Carver Birthplace Association. It is free and open to the public.
