'Microsoft Word tips, tools and troubleshooting' sessions on Library Day, Nov. 7
K-State faculty/staff and graduate students who want to learn more about Microsoft Word's timesaving features — or who have Microsoft Word problems, questions and puzzles — are encouraged to attend any of the four "Microsoft Word tips, tools and troubleshooting" sessions at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in 401 Hale Library during Library Day.
Each session will cover:
- Word's timesaving, built-in tools, in both Mac and Windows
- Tips and resources, including Word resources on K-State's ETDR website
- Troubleshooting your puzzling Word problems
At each session, majority vote by attendees will determine whether Word 2010, Windows, or Word 2011, Mac, is presented. All sessions will be given by Betsy Edwards, ETDR — Electronic Theses, Dissertations and Reports — consultant and Web/information specialist at the Information Technology Assistance Center.
Each session will conclude with question-and-answer on attendees' specific problems in any version of Word, no matter how old. Bring your laptop to show your particular Word puzzle or to get help configuring it to optimize Word's settings.
If you cannot attend a session, email Edwards at betsy@k-state.edu to schedule a free consultation on Word and/or ETDRs.
