Retirement and farewell reception for Janie Sackrider, Dec. 13
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will host a retirement and farewell reception for Janie Sackrider, transfer articulation coordinator, from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in 201 Anderson Hall.
Sackrider started working for Kansas State University in 1979. She spent time with the Department of Grain Science, College of Business Administration, and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. During that time, Sackrider has worn many hats and served in many capacities. Hundreds of thousands of lives have been impacted by her work over the years, many of whom will never know because of the behind-the-scenes nature of her work. Through it all, she has exemplified what it means to be a diligent, trustworthy and hardworking employee. In 2018, Sackrider was recognized as the University Support Staff Employee of the Year. Her positive presence and leadership are highly valued and will be missed.
Friends and colleagues of Sackrider are invited to stop by to enjoy refreshments and honor her for her 40-plus years of service to the university. Cards and well-wishes can be sent to 119 Anderson Hall.
