Center for Student Involvement supports students this election week
Submitted by Center for Student Involvement
Center for Student Involvement staff members are hosting an e-series to support students and student organization leaders this week revolving around the election. Center staff members recognize this may be a challenging time for many students and want to provide resources and tips for how to navigate some important skills that may prove helpful in connecting with peers, and how to engage student organizations in activities around the election and beyond.
Throughout the week, students and campus community members may follow along via social media on Twitter @KStateCSI and Instagram @KStateCSI. This e-series will focus on leadership skills including:
Modeling Empathy
Power of Positivity
Self-Care & Stress Management
Civil Discourse
Civic Engagement
Center staff members also will host in-person Fireside Chats Nov. 4-20 in their office lobby, Room 114 of the K-State Student Union. Fireside Chats will provide an opportunity for students who want to meet with someone a chance to process the election results and think about what’s next. Chats will be daily from 2-3 p.m. Monday through Friday and are on a voluntary come-and-go basis.
For questions about Fireside Chats or other ways to get involved, reach out to studentinvolvement@k-state.edu.
