Advisor Forum presents November Charlie Award
Submitted by Katelin Christianer-Donkers
The Advisor Forum announces that Elizabeth "Elli" Hager, advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences' open option and social sciences programs, has been selected for the November Charlie Award.
Kaela Urquhart, advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences, nominated Hager for this award because Hager "is engaged in doing not only the most for her students, but the most for the team."
Urquhart praised Hager for taking on additional recruiting responsibilities to enhance the open option program and ensure its success for students: "She has been instrumental in furthering marketing, website development and updates to ensure effectiveness of the program and the offerings for students. She understands the importance of advising to recruitment efforts as early retention and connecting students to resources.”
According to Urquhart, Hager is "caring and takes such a genuine interest in anything and everyone she interacts with. She is a great advisor for her students and ensuring they are on the right academic path, as well as comfortable at K-State."
Hager’s colleagues said they are thrilled to work with her and believe she is a true exhibitor of what the Charlie Award exemplifies. They said Hager “is just overall wonderful and K-State advising is lucky to have her.”
We would like to thank Hager for the work she has done for students and congratulate her on this award.
