Modern languages department head to present on digital humanities, language learning in age of COVID-19
Melinda Cro, associate professor and head of the modern languages department, will be interviewed from 3-3:30 p.m. CST Thursday, Nov. 5, by Al Bertrand, Georgetown University Press director, as part of the series, "Books for a Better World."
The interview, "Digital Humanities in the Age of COVID-19," will focus on Cro's recently published 2020 book, "Integrating the Digital Humanities into the Second Language Classroom," a practical guide that examines the benefits and challenges of inflecting language instruction with a digital humanities-inspired approach and offers a methodology for implementation.
