Advisor Forum presents April Charlie Award

Submitted by Beth Stuewe

The K-State Advisor Forum announces that Lindsey Cordill, academic advisor for the College of Business Administration, has been selected for the April Charlie Award.

Cordill's colleague, Caroline Jones, nominated her for this award because of the care and support that she gives to her students and her advising colleagues across campus.

Jones writes, "Lindsey is an amazing advisor and it really shows in her day-to-day interactions with students and colleagues. As an advisor, she shows great care in working with her students. She is always challenging and supporting them on their path toward graduation and beyond."

As well as working with her students, Cordill is a tremendous colleague. She volunteers her time to work as a co-chair for the Advisor Forum and also serves on committees within the College of Business Administration. Jones adds, "Lindsey has a wealth of institutional knowledge and is always my go-to person whenever I have a challenging situation. She gives tremendous support to her colleagues in their personal and professional lives. She is the first one to remember a birthday or check in after a rough day.”

The K-State Advisor Forum thanks Cordill for the work she has done for students and the advising community and congratulates her on this award.

As a reminder, to nominate someone for the Charlie Award, fill out the short online form. Once your nomination is complete, it will remain an active nomination for one full academic year. Nominations can be completed at any time and can be submitted by anyone on campus. One award will be given out at the beginning of each month. The Advisor Forum Committee will make the decision and deliver awards.
