Complete survey for feedback on K-State's Threat Management Policy
Submitted by Division of Student Life
All students, faculty and staff are invited to complete an anonymous survey requesting feedback on the university's Threat Management Policy, or PPM 3015.
Policy and Process Review is one of the action steps in the Action Plan for a More inclusive K-State. That Action Plan is about developing meaningful, measurable action plans with concrete steps that will propel us forward together.
The Policy and Process Review focuses on analyzing and making recommendations regarding all university policies with the goal of identifying and addressing institutional bias and barriers through an anti-racist lens. One of the policies in review is PPM 3015, K-State's Threat Management Policy.
This policy is centered on the safety and security of all Kansas State University employees, students, visitors and guests. The policy stipulates that threats, threatening behavior, acts of violence and any conduct that substantially disrupts another's work performance or the university's ability to execute its mission are prohibited. The policy outlines a process for reporting this conduct, analyzing its impact and the university response.
PPM 3015 is distinct and different from PPM 3010 Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Harassment, and Procedure for Reviewing Complaints. There are times when conduct may be applicable to both policies but for this survey we kindly ask that you only consider the Threat Management Policy as you respond.
The survey will allow you to provide input on PPM 3015, Threat Management Policy as it relates to the Policy and Process Review through an anti-racist lens. Please keep that in mind as you answer the questions, engage with us in this review and provide us with feedback. Responses will be kept anonymous. Thank you for your participation and engagement.
