Celebrate graduate students this month
Initiated by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students, Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week is celebrated the first week of April each year.
The K-State Graduate School encourages celebration of our graduate students throughout the month, so that departments and colleges can recognize their graduate students at a time that works best for them.
Last week, the K-State Graduate School sent an appreciation message to all K-State graduate students and promoted the appreciation week on social media. Graduate students make valuable contributions to teaching, research, scholarship, creative discovery and mentoring of graduate students. Many graduate students also engage in leadership and service to support the graduate student body and contribute to initiatives of the university. We appreciate the work our graduate students do to support the mission of the university.
On May 7, the Graduate Student Council will host the annual Graduate Student Council Awards and Recognition Reception for graduate students who have received notable achievements throughout the 2020-21 academic year. The reception will begin at 1 p.m. via Zoom. Graduate students to be recognized will receive a direct invitation from the Graduate Student Council.
The Graduate School encourages all departments to express appreciation to their graduate students for their contributions to the university.
