More than 60 K-State faculty members earn promotions, tenure
Kansas State University is promoting 14 faculty members to full professor, 43 to associate professor with tenure and three to clinical associate professor. Two current associate professors also are receiving tenure.
K-State President Kirk Schulz has approved the promotions and tenure, which go into effect July 1.
Promoted to full professor are: Sally Bailey, communication studies, theater and dance; James Bloodgood, management; Scott DeLoach, computing and information sciences; Stewart Duncan, extension specialist in crops and soils, Northeast Area Extension office; Ike Ehie, management; Keith Harmoney, Agricultural Research Center, Hays; Hikaru Hanawa Peterson, agricultural economics; Michael Herman, biology; Richard Hesse, diagnostic medicine and pathobiology; Dong Li, economics; Douglas Powell, diagnostic medicine and pathobiology; Yong-Cheng Shi, grain science and industry; Alice Trussell, faculty and graduate services, K-State Libraries; and Donghai Wang, biological and agricultural engineering.

Promoted to clinical associate professor are: Mary Bagladi-Swanson, clinical sciences; Shelie Laflin, clinical sciences; and Susan Nelson, clinical sciences.
Earning tenure are the following faculty members, both associate professors: Gary Brase, psychology; and Junehee Kwon, hospitality management and dietetics.
