Human Capital Services launches search committee chair training session
Human Capital Services has launched a new Search Chair Roles and Responsibilities training session to assist search committee chairs in understanding their roles and responsibilities throughout the search process at Kansas State University. This session sets expectations and provides resources to those serving as a search committee chair.
This training will help search chairs:
- Learn the specific roles and responsibilities while chairing a search.
- Understand the importance of overseeing and maintaining fair and consistent practices for the recruitment, interview and selection processes.
- Understand that confidentiality is the foundation of a credible search committee and a trustworthy search process.
- Understand the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion principles throughout the recruitment process.
The Search Chair Roles and Responsibilities training session will need to be completed on an annual basis when appointed to the search chair role.
