All-University Awards Ceremony on May 6
Submitted by Michelle Langvardt
President Kirk Schulz and Provost April Mason will host the inaugural All-University Awards ceremony and reception from 3-5 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the Alumni Center Ballroom.
The new ceremony is intended to offer a larger venue for faculty and unclassified staff awards. In the past, awardees have been selected and announced in the spring semester, some with no ceremony and others at relatively small venues. The awards are all very prestigious and the All-University Awards Ceremony and Reception will provide much deserved public recognition to the awardees.
Awardees to be recognized at the ceremony include: Coffman Chair for Distinguished Teaching Scholars; K-State Mentoring; Presidential Awards for Teaching, Advising and Department Head; Outstanding Department or Unit for Enhancing Diversity; Big 12 Faculty Fellowships; Excellence in Engagement; Putting Students First; and other awards from the president and provost offices.
The ceremony and reception will be open to the entire university community, as well as the families of the awardees. Refreshments will be served.
If you plan to attend this event, please RSVP to Shelly Broccolo at avery@k-state.edu by Wednesday, May 1.
