Reminder: Local election voting, time accommodations on April 2
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Polling locations are generally open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowing employees to vote without affecting work hours. For employees who live in other counties, accommodations should be made for those needing to arrive at work a bit late or leave a bit early to make it to the polls.
If an employee cannot get to the polls outside of work hours, time should be allowed to go vote without leave being charged. If the poll hours are different, time could be adjusted accordingly if necessary.
Advanced voting for the City of Manhattan is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 28-29 and from 8 a.m. to noon March 30 and April 1, at the county building at Fifth and Humboldt streets, behind the courthouse on the second floor.
