Kansas State LGBTQ+ Leadership Conference occurs April 22
The Kansas State LGBTQ+ Leadership Conference will take place Friday, April 22, at the Morris Family Multicultural Student Center. The day-long conference serves as a learning opportunity and a chance to bring together LGBTQ+ focused organizations and individuals from across the state. The conference goal is to encourage and enhance LGBTQ+ leadership and to cultivate networks of support in Kansas communities, education and organizations in Kansas.
All Kansas State University students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the day’s events. Individuals who will be attending any portion of the conference should register. Information and registration are available at the LGBTQ+ Leadership Conference website.
The conference steering committee is also continuing to seek proposals for presentations at the conference. Proposals should exhibit a commitment to uplifting and centering diverse queer voices. Presentations should foster dialogue through issue-driven community conversations, explore the latest research by and for LGBTQ+ people, and provide education on a variety of practical and theoretical topics.
Conference sessions can take a variety of forms, including but not limited to individual scholarly presentations or papers, organized panels of up to three presenters, identity workshops and research poster presentations. For more information, please visit the call for proposals and presentations on the conference site.
