The Strategic Leader offered Nov. 2

The Strategic Leader will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the K-State Alumni Center Tadtman Boardroom.
In this session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their own leadership styles and have an introduction to the leadership styles of others through completing the CliftonStrengths Assessment. Participants will then explore strategies to increase engagement and motivate their colleagues. Through case studies, participants will explore how to speak to loss and manage change at the unit and organizational level.
This session will help participants:
- Recognize the various leadership styles.
- Discuss strategies to develop and motivate others.
- Identify techniques to build an effective team and access appropriate resources.
- Describe strategies for leading through change and turbulent times.
You must be a current supervisor of university support staff or unclassified professionals, to attend the session. The session is offered in conjunction with the K-State Supervisory Foundations Pillar I: Establishing Your Supervisory Foundation certificate program. Seating is limited.
