Participants needed for a study about space and emotions
Submitted by Elisabetta Canepa
Take part in a virtual reality experiment developed within the Resonances project and conducted by Elisabetta Canepa and Bob Condia from the architecture department in the College of Architecture, Planning & Design at Kansas State University.
The researchers are looking for 18-64-year-olds with any educational or professional background to volunteer for architectural research on atmospheric perception. By having participants walk through virtual environments, the researchers aim to investigate their emotional reactions to architectural features and analyze how interventions in ambient qualities can influence them. Participants will be asked to fill out some self-report questionnaires and let the researchers record measures of their autonomic bodily responses. Expected length: 90 minutes.
Participants will receive $20. There are no expenses to participants in the experiment.
The experiment will take place in the Chang Gallery and 2003 Seaton Hall, 920 N. M.L.K. Jr. Drive, Manhattan.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Canepa at elisabettacanepa@k-state.edu for more information and schedule your session.
