Applied human sciences department awardees to speak on 'Lives of Meaning and Impact'
The applied human sciences department will host three individuals who are being recognized as College of Health and Human Sciences Celebration of Excellence awardees.
The awardees will serve on a panel titled "Lives of Meaning and Impact" on Thursday, Oct. 13, in the UMB Theater at the Beach Museum of Art. A reception with appetizers will begin at 3 p.m. with the panel taking place from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
The panelists include:
- Don Munce, chairman of the board at the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in Kansas City and former chief executive officer and owner of the National Research Center for College and University Admissions. Munce is the recipient of the Health and Human Sciences Partner Award.
- Gayla Randel, state-level family and consumer sciences administrator for the state of Montana. Randel is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award.
- Sandra Stith, emeritus faculty, couple and family therapy. Stith is the recipient of the Career Achievement Award.
All faculty, staff, students and community members are welcome to attend.
