The Academic Achievement Center welcomes three new academic coaches: Bailey Britton, Logan Hays and Ruth Newton.
Britton graduated from K-State with bachelor's degrees in English and mass communications. Britton, from Colby, is a first-generation college graduate. While at K-State, she participated in the McNair Scholars Program and worked at the Kansas State Collegian. Britton also has experience as a tutor with K-State Athletics.
Hays joins the center with five years of enrollment management experience. His past roles include working as an academic program specialist for the Office of the Registrar and as a financial aid advisor for the Office of Student Financial Assistance at K-State. Hays earned his Bachelor of Science in communication studies from K-State.
Newton has been working with the International Student and Scholar Services office for 10 years, helping and learning from many international students.
"I chose to work at the AAC because I realized my passion is to help all students meet their academic, personal and career goals," Newton said.
Newton has her Bachelor of Science in business administration from the National University of Asuncion in Paraguay.
