Julie Yu featured at music educators conference and choir festival

Julie Yu

Julie Yu, professor of music and co-director of choral studies, was the featured keynote speaker at the general assembly for the Missouri Music Educators Association on Jan. 26. She also presented a session titled "Setting the mindset in the choral rehearsal and establishing routines with intentional outcomes of engagement and connection."

Yu also served as conductor for the University of Mississippi Treble Choir Festival in Oxford, Mississippi, on Jan. 28. She worked with 160 singers from all over the state.

 Yu's choirs have performed in Carnegie Hall, Hawaii and the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. as well as in Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Ireland and Italy. In addition to teaching, she is an active guest clinician and conductor for various honor choirs and professional organizations around the country. Learn more
