College of Education selects 21 new ambassadors
Twenty-one Kansas State University students were recently selected to serve as College of Education Ambassadors, a group of approximately 50 students who promote and serve the college. College of Education Ambassadors work to promote the education field and be a resource to prospective and newly admitted students.
College of Education Ambassadors are responsible for participating in several programs to recruit students to K-State, including the daily campus visits program, Future Teachers Visit Day and other various recruitment programs.
"This is a group of dynamic, engaged and creative students who are passionate about their university," said Marcus Kidd, College of Education Ambassadors advisor and assistant director for enrollment management and institutional partnerships for the college. "We look forward to working with them to help recruit future education professionals."
The following in-state students were selected:
Parker Delay, freshman in secondary education-art, Abilene; Alexa Lightner, sophomore in elementary education-open option, Garden City; Andrew Bergmeier, sophomore in elementary education-open option, from Hutchinson; Ethan Bernet, junior in secondary education-social studies, from Lawrence; Anna Bajich, freshman in secondary education-mathematics, Caroline Humphrey, freshman in elementary education-open option and Samantha Seiler, freshman in elementary education-English, all Leawood; Bryan Symons, junior in secondary education-social studies, Liberal; Emma Littich, freshman in elementary education-open option, Lindsborg; Lucas Caldas, sophomore in secondary education-biology, Manhattan; Riley Chrisler, freshman in elementary education-open option, from Oakley; Anna Henige, freshman in elementary education-open option, Tess Nearmyer, sophomore in elementary education-open option, Rachel Sum, freshman in secondary education-social studies and Macie Warren, freshman in elementary education-special education, all from Olathe; Carinne Reece, sophomore in elementary education-open option, and Hadley Schafer, sophomore in elementary education-special education, both from Overland Park; Allison Brummer, freshman in elementary education-open option, Tipton; and Carter Topliff, sophomore in secondary education-social studies, Wamego.
The following out-of-state students were selected:
Evie Rodenbaugh, sophomore in elementary education-open option, from Kansas City, Missouri; and Darius Skillen, junior in secondary education-mathematics, from Rock Port, Missouri.
