Music, Theatre, and Dance students meet performers and attend free trip to Kansas City Symphony

Submitted by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

One hundred K-State students from the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance participated in a new free student program to see a performance of Holst's "The Planets" at the Kansas City Symphony on March 25.

Following the performance, the students were able to meet with the principal artists to discuss working in the performing arts industry along with other Kansas City Symphony administrators.

The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance offers the program for K-State students in the performing arts to attend four professional productions in Kansas City throughout the 2022-2023 school year. All music, theatre and dance majors and minors in the school were eligible to attend these free field trips. Throughout the school year, students will attend a production at four nationally renowned performing arts organizations: the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, the Kansas City Ballet, the Kansas City Symphony and the Kansas City Repertory Theatre.
